VIAVI Solutions seeks a seasoned production / process engineer to own coating platform performance in a high-precision environment in Santa Rosa, CA. You will drive uptime, yield, and cycle-time improvements on thin-film deposition equipment and coordinate with Design Engineering, R&D, and Quality to move new coating designs into production.

You will lead data-driven root-cause analyses, perform designed experiments, and apply 8D/CAPA methodologies to resolve tool issues while maintaining strict

Competenze

• BS in Physics, Materials Science, or an Engineering discipline; MS preferred.
• 7+ years of manufacturing or process engineering in thin-film vacuum deposition (sputtering, e-beam evaporation, ion-assisted deposition).
• Hands-on ownership of a production coating platform with its process window, uptime, yield, and cycle time.
• Ability to isolate faults on complex electro-mechanical and vacuum equipment and drive fixes to completion.
• Working knowledge of PFMEA, CAPA, 8D, SPC, and DOE; Lean Six Sigma skills with proven projects.

Mansioni

• Support coating platforms and processes to keep production running efficiently.
• Contain issues on the tool, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions (8D/CAPA).
• Provide floor production support during critical builds, ramps, and tool recoveries.
