Job summary

VIAVI Solutions, a global leader in optical coatings and network test solutions, is seeking an engineer to own optical thin film coating design, quotation, and manufacturability. You will interface with customers, manufacturing engineering, and production to ensure product realization from inquiry to production.

You will lead design decisions, production readiness, and product analysis while driving continuous improvement and supporting night/after-hour activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Physics required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills essential.
• Experience interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of statistical process control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own optical coating design, quotation, and manufacturability.
• Interface with customers, manufacturing engineering and production floor.
• Lead product analysis and production readiness activities.
• Transfer new products from inquiry to manufacturing and drive continuous improvement.
