Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. seeks a Medical Science Liaison (Sr Manager) to support CNS indications within an ecosystem-based customer engagement model.

This field-based role engages Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders and healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes. The MSL builds external relationships, delivers evidence-based medical and health economic information, and supports regional medical strategies.

Qualifications

• MD/DO, PharmD or PhD in life sciences or Master’s degree with equivalent psychiatry or CNS clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant work experience.
• Understanding of health systems and patient care delivery; experience with healthcare professionals and decision makers.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of industry dynamics; ability to identify solutions to improve patient outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; professional maturity and cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to lead others and project teams strategically.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory and compliance landscape in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and scientific perspectives to local execution plans addressing patient care challenges.
• Build relationships with key scientific and medical customers and organizations to understand trends and state of care.
• Develop understanding of ecosystem alignment with patient-centric strategy and deliver optimal patient care.
• Serve as a credible source of evidence-based information on clinical, economic and humanistic aspects for stakeholders.
• Mentor peers and participate in training and capability development within the team.
