Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (CNS) to support ecosystem-based customer engagement and medical affairs activities.

This field-based role will provide clinical, economic, and scientific information on CNS products to healthcare professionals, payors, and patient groups. The MSL will collaborate with local ecosystem partners to tailor regional medical strategies, engage KIs/LPLs/KDMs, and contribute to trials, publications, and real-world evidence

Qualifications

• MD/DO, PharmD or PhD in life sciences or Master’s with equivalent psychiatry/CNS experience.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant work experience.
• Strong business acumen; knows industry, business model and value proposition, competitors, and dynamics.
• Able to summarize and communicate complex information clearly in presentations and interactions.
• Strong understanding of industry legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape.
• Ability to work in an environment undergoing transformation.
• Demonstrates behaviors aligned with corporate brand (Perseverance, Unconventional Thinking, Humility).
• Business travel by air or car up to 70% of time depending on territory size.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, scientific and health economic information related to CNS and approved Otsuka products within the ecosystem.
• Engage with Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders, healthcare providers, and patient groups to improve patient outcomes.
• Contribute to regional medical strategies and support multiple products within CNS.
• Deliver medical insights and drive evidence generation in collaboration with ecosystem partners.
• Coordinate field activities and enterprise-wide medical strategies with regional leadership.
• Build external relationships with key scientific/medical customers to understand trends and healthcare needs.
• Support Otsuka’s clinical trials program and safety/pharmacovigilance activities.
