Job summary

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. seeks a Medical Science Liaison (CNS) to engage key scientific and medical stakeholders, provide evidence-based information, and support ecosystem-based patient care initiatives.

The role emphasizes field-based collaboration with local providers, patient groups, and KIs/LPLs to advance CNS strategies and product education. The MSL will cover multiple products within CNS, build external relationships, and contribute to regional medical strategies while

Qualifications

• MD/DO, PharmD or PhD in life sciences or Master’s with equivalent CNS clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant work experience.
• Understanding interconnectivity of health systems and patient care.
• Strong business acumen and value proposition understanding.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; cross‑functional environment.
• Ability to lead teams and projects strategically.
• Ability to summarize complex information for presentations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance landscape.
• Ability to work in transforming, ambiguous environments.
• Alignment with Otsuka corporate brand values.

Responsibilities

• Contribute clinical and scientific perspectives to local execution plans.
• Develop external relationships with key scientific and medical customers in territory.
• Maintain understanding of ecosystem to align with patient-centric strategy.
• Provide evidence-based information on clinical, economic, and humanistic value.
• Build internal relationships to execute local medical strategies.
• Disseminate disease-state and healthcare landscape information to customers.
• Provide clinical and data-focused training for speakers.
• May serve on speaker bureau for product education needs.
• Collect medical insights to drive evidence generation and decisions.
• Support clinical trials program and health economics outcomes research.
• Mentor peers and contribute to onboarding and best practices.
• Support Safety & Pharmacovigilance and field medical training.
• Collaborate with other areas of the organization as needed.
