Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior CNO Developer to join our communications systems team supporting an advanced telecommunications research and cyber capability development program.

You will design and build custom tools targeting embedded and telecommunications systems, engage in reverse engineering and vulnerability research, and collaborate with a small, multidisciplinary team to turn PoCs into robust, mission-ready software while following DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience acceptable.
• 5+ years of experience designing and/or prototyping applications using agile software development processes.
• 2+ years of experience with Python, C, or C++.
• 2+ years of experience with operating system internals (privilege models, user groups, memory layout).
• 2+ years of experience with network socket programming and IP/TCP protocols.
• 2+ years of experience with reverse engineering x86/ARM binaries or embedded systems.
• Experience tracing code execution in debuggers (WinDbg, GDB, or equivalent).
• Expertise in firmware analysis, fuzzing, wireless protocols, file system forensics, scripting with Binary Ninja or Ghidra.
• Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI access

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom tools targeting embedded and telecommunications systems.
• Serve as a cyber capability developer on a small, highly motivated team.
• Develop proofs-of-concept from discovered vulnerabilities and transition to robust codebases.
• Analyze firmware, OS internals, and wireless protocols to find security flaws.
• Perform reverse engineering on Linux-based and embedded systems.
• Extend tools to analyze and manipulate binaries and firmware.
• Develop capabilities leveraging novel telecommunications access mechanisms.
• Collaborate with developers, researchers, and hardware engineers in a fast-paced environment.
• Solve complex technical challenges with limited prior experience.
• Engage with transition partners and mission stakeholders.
