Job summary

Research Innovations Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Researcher in Saint Petersburg, FL, or nearby venues, to solve advanced defense problems. You will build offense-grade software and perform deep reverse engineering across Windows, Linux, and embedded platforms.

The role requires an Active US Top Secret clearance (and potential upgrade to TS/SCI) and travel as needed. You will work with a team valuing autonomy, creativity, and technical excellence while supporting homeland security missions.

Qualifications

Significant experience programming in C and Python.
Direct experience developing CNO or exploit capabilities.
Embedded or firmware development on resource-constrained systems.
Experience with Windows or UNIX development environments.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Subversion, CVS).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo).
Experience using debugging/troubleshooting tools.
Software analysis/reverse engineering experience.
Comfort writing assembly or mixed C/ASM.
Excellent written and verbal communication for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

Build offense-grade software that operates in denied/environments.
Design and debug CNO capabilities across userland, kernel, and network layers.
Tear down and modernize legacy tooling for performance and maintainability.
Develop software for Windows, Linux/Unix, embedded, mobile, and network devices.
Perform deep binary analysis and reverse engineering across architectures.
Own reproducible build systems, toolchains, and test harnesses.
Work close to the metal: compilers, loaders, memory, runtime behavior.
Travel as determined by the customer.
