Job summary

Research Innovations Inc. is seeking a Security Researcher to join the Cyber security team in San Antonio, TX or Melbourne, FL. The role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with potential upgrade to TS/SCI.

You will build offense-grade software for defense and homeland security customers, across Windows, Linux/Unix, embedded, mobile, and network devices. You will perform deep reverse engineering, develop CNO capabilities, and modernize tooling while collaborating with customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Experience programming in C and Python.
• Experience developing CNO or exploit capabilities.
• Embedded or firmware development on resource-constrained systems.
• Experience with Windows, UNIX builds.
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Subversion, CVS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo).
• Experience with debugging/troubleshooting tools and techniques.
• Software analysis/reverse engineering experience.
• Comfort writing assembly or mixed C/ASM.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Building offense-grade software in constrained and adversarial environments.
• Designing, implementing, and debugging CNO capabilities across userland, kernel, and network layers.
• Tearing down, modernizing, and re-engineering legacy tooling for performance and maintainability.
• Developing software for Windows, Linux/Unix, embedded, mobile, and network devices.
• Performing deep binary analysis and reverse engineering across architectures.
• Owning and evolving reproducible build systems, toolchains, and test harnesses.
• Traveling as determined by the customer.
