Job summary

D & N Bending Corp in the United States seeks an experienced CNC Tube Bending Operator / Setup Technician to support both prototype and production manufacturing. This hands-on role requires machine setup, process development, and troubleshooting across multiple bending applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC tube bending experience, with setup preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T requirements.
• Experience with springback compensation and bend sequence adjustments.
• Familiarity with multi-axis CNC bending machines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform full machine setup and changeovers on CNC tube bending equipment.
• Set and adjust tooling including mandrels, wiper dies, clamp dies, and pressure dies.
• Load, edit, and optimize CNC bending programs to meet spec.
• Interpret blueprints, prints, and GD&T to ensure part accuracy.
• Conduct first piece validation and make necessary adjustments.
• Troubleshoot bending defects such as wrinkling, flattening, and distortion.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop and refine bending processes.
• Use fixtures, gauges, and inspection equipment to verify quality.
• Maintain production efficiency while meeting tight tolerances.
• Support continuous improvement in cycle time, scrap reduction, and quality.
