Job summary

Triangle Package Machinery Company in Chicago, IL is seeking a skilled Machine Tool Operator (CNC III) to run and program CNC equipment for precision parts. You will interpret drawings, set up machines, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances while maintaining production efficiency.

Responsibilities include tooling changes, offset setup, and regular inspection using calipers and micrometers. You will collaborate with engineering and QA to sustain quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience fabricating and modifying jigs, fixtures, and tooling for machine repairs and manufacturing applications.
• Knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code).
• Familiarity with mills, lathes, grinders and tumblers.
• Familiarity with measuring tools and instruments to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in machining processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements, including dimensions and tolerances.
• Familiar with G-code and M-code programming to perform milling, turning, drilling, and grinding.
• Set up CNC machines for production runs, load materials, install tools, and establish offsets.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance to specs.
• Adjust CNC programs, tool offsets, and machine settings to optimize quality and efficiency.
• Document production activities and inspection results in computerized systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and production to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Adhere to safety procedures while operating CNC equipment.
