Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to produce precision machined parts in a high‑volume shop. You will operate, set up, and potentially program CNC equipment, ensuring parts meet exact specs and quality standards.

You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, and work closely with engineering on fixtures and process improvements while maintaining GMP/GDP practices and safe operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and may program CNC mills, wire EDMs, and lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling.
• Perform difficult CNC machining with close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specs.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Maintain quality via OOQ standards and measurement tools.
• Assist engineering with fixture redesigns and tooling wear.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Identify and report safety, health and environmental issues.
