Job summary

ARCH Global Precision in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Senior CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder to join our precision manufacturing team. You will operate Walter Helitronic CNC tool grinding equipment to produce high-precision cutting tools and support complex tooling projects.

The role requires deep expertise in multi-axis grinding, tight tolerances, and collaboration with engineering to improve processes. You will mentor junior grinders and help maintain top-quality tools and equipment in a demanding

Qualifications

• 7+ years of CNC tool and cutter grinding experience in high-precision environments.
• Strong expertise in multi-axis CNC grinding (5-axis preferred).
• Deep understanding of tool geometry, grinding wheel selection, and coolant optimization.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings with tight tolerances.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate advanced CNC tool and cutter grinders (Walter Power machines).
• Grind, recondition, and manufacture precision cutting tools including end mills, drills, reamers.
• Interpret complex drawings and tool specifications.
• Develop and optimize grinding programs for efficiency and tool life.
• Perform in-process and final inspections with micrometers, optical comparators, tool pre-setters, and CMMs.
• Mentor junior grinders and support process improvements.
