Job summary

EIS Legacy is seeking a CNC Operations Specialist to operate and set up multiple CNC machines, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor less experienced operators on the shop floor.

This role emphasizes process discipline, collaboration with engineering and quality teams, and participation in lean manufacturing initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in CNC machining and a high school diploma or GED, with strong GD&T and measurement skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years of CNC machining experience, including independent setup and operation.
• Experience mentoring others or supporting training is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, work travelers, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) with minimal supervision.
• Interpret prints and programs to produce in-tolerance parts and adjust as needed.
• Complete production documentation and inspection records accurately.
• Coach peers on setup, operation, and safety best practices.
• Support lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement efforts.
