Job summary

EIS Legacy in Canton, GA is seeking a skilled CNC Operations Specialist to operate and set up multiple CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and routers, with minimal supervision and a focus on part quality.

You will interpret blueprints, apply GD&T, perform precise measurements with calipers and micrometers, document inspections, mentor less-experienced operators, support lean initiatives, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and leadership to sustain safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
4–6 years CNC machining experience, including setup and operation.
Experience mentoring operators and supporting training.
Strong ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate multiple CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) with minimal supervision.
Interpret prints and travel/work sheets to produce in-tolerance parts.
Verify tool offsets, workholding, and program validation.
Perform in-process quality checks using calipers and micrometers.
Document production and inspection records accurately.
Coach peers and support onboarding and safety procedures.
