Job summary

Soap Creek Resources seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to join a precision-focused manufacturing team. You will collaborate with engineering to optimize tooling designs and run Mastercam-generated programs for CNC operations, supporting the production ofFoundry tooling including patterns, core boxes, and molds for injection molding applications.

You will interpret blueprints, set up machines, and mentor Tooling Center machinists in a fast-paced environment while staying current with CAD/CAM

Qualifications

Requires strong CNC programming experience and ability to read blueprints/CAD models.
Proficient in CAM software, preferably Mastercam; multi-axis machining experience valued.
Solid problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.
Knowledge of various machining materials and processes.
Strong math skills including trig and geometry.
Experience with metallurgy and foundry tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers and CAD technicians to improve tooling designs and processes.
Use Mastercam to generate G-code for CNC operations.
Design or select work-holding fixtures.
Maintain a tooling library database.
Set speeds/feeds for optimal output.
Interpret blueprints and CAD models to support machining.
Set up and calibrate CNC machines for production runs.
Operate CNC equipment to produce precision components.
Monitor processes for quality compliance.
Perform in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Identify process improvements and new technology opportunities.
Mentor Tooling Center machinists and team members.
Provide training and knowledge sharing to improve team capability.
