Job summary

Clow Valve in Oskaloosa, IA, is seeking a Tooling Center Programmer to design and optimize tooling for foundry processes and injection molding machines. You will collaborate with engineers and the CAD technician to generate efficient G-code programs using Mastercam and to manage tool libraries.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, setting up CNC machines, performing in-process inspections, and mentoring machinists to advance tooling capabilities while pursuing CAD/CAM improvements

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 5 years of advanced manufacturing experience including CAM.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with CAD/CAM software.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of materials and geometry.

Responsibilities

Programming (40%): Collaborate with engineers and CAD technician; use Mastercam to generate G-code; manage tool library and select tooling to optimize speeds/feeds.
CNC Machine Operation (40%): Interpret blueprints/ CAD models; set up and calibrate CNC machines; perform in-process inspections with calipers/micrometers.
Continuous Education (10%): Stay updated on CAD/CAM processes and tooling; explore new technologies and processes.
Training (10%): Mentor Tooling Center Machinists to advance skills and understanding.
