Job summary

Burkert USA Corporation is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team in the United States. You will program high‑complexity parts using Siemens NX CAM, covering 3‑ to 5‑axis operations, and create efficient tool paths from CAD models and drawings.

You will select appropriate cutting tools and fixtures, collaborate with engineers for manufacturability, and set up simulations to prevent errors before production.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or certificate preferred; hands-on experience accepted.
• Minimum 5–7 years of CNC programming experience in Siemens NX in a production environment.
• Proven experience programming for 3, 4, and 5‑axis milling and lathe/mill‑turns.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Experience with CAM simulation and post‑processing for Siemens NX.

Responsibilities

• Program high-complexity parts in Siemens NX CAM (3‑5 axis) with tight tolerances.
• Create optimized tool paths from 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Select tools, fixtures, and strategies to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers for manufacturability.
• Set up simulation and verification to catch errors before shop floor release.
• Reduce cycle times and tool wear through program refinements.
• Develop setup sheets and documentation for machine readiness.
• Provide shop floor support for first runs and on‑going improvements.
• Contribute to DFM reviews to reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
• Maintain version control and archives for traceability.
• Support standardization and training of programmers and machinists.
