Job summary

Allient Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is seeking a Senior Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer to lead CNC programming, setup, and machining processes for aerospace-grade components. The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and a deep knowledge of multi-axis machining and CAD/CAM tools.

You will mentor junior staff, drive Lean initiatives, support NPI, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while optimizing cycle times and tooling strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years CNC programming experience with 3+ years aerospace/precision manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of 3-,4-, and 5-axis CNC programming and G-code.
• Experience coaching and mentoring technical teams.
• Lean, SMED, and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience with ERP/MES and digital manufacturing tools.
• CAD/CAM software proficiency (Mastercam, Siemens NX, CATIA, Fusion 360).
• Experience with aerospace materials (titanium, Inconel, aluminum).

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for multi-axis machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve manufacturability and cycle times.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in CNC programming and machining.
• Train and mentor junior programmers, engineers, operators, and machinists on best practices.
