MW Components, Inc. is seeking a skilled machinist to program and run Mazak lathes and mills, ensuring peak machine performance and material readiness. You will perform quality checks and optimize output while maintaining safe, clean workspaces.

The role requests experience with Mazatrol programming and Mastercam, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork within Production reporting to the Department Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and processes.
• Experience programming Mazak machinery and related tooling.
• Strong math skills and attention to precision.
• Comfort with evaluating output quality and run rates.

Responsabilités

• Daily allocation of work orders to the production area.
• Review run rates and efficiencies for correct output.
• Assist lead machinist and shop manager with employee relations.
• Monitor and escalate issues to management.
• Program machines for scheduled jobs.
• Minimize scrap and material usage during programming.
• Provide feedback for changes to engineering masters and routers.
• Load and replenish machines, often using a forklift.
• Prepare finished goods and WIP packaging for off-loading.
• Use measurement tools to verify machine settings and first-piece checks.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to safety rules.
• Walk floor to ensure workers are productive and safe.
