Job summary

Axillon Aerospace is seeking a CNC Machinist to edit programs, set up and operate CNC machines, and support production with preventive maintenance. The role requires interpreting detailed drawings, selecting tooling, and solving problems with Engineering to optimize operations.

The position involves working with Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, Fagor, and Siemens controls, reading blueprints, and documenting in-process QA data. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Reads manufacturing prints, machine drawings and manuals.
• Interprets programs and adjusts tooling and process parameters.
• Understands GD&T dimensioning and tolerancing and assesses fit.
• Sets up tools and verifies runout, offsets, and tool life.
• Maintains QA data and traces materials through production.

Responsibilities

• CNC Mill, Lathe, and Mill Turn machining tasks.
• Operate 3- and 5-axis vertical and horizontal mills, lathes, and mill-turn equipment.
• Perform CNC setups and verify locating surfaces.
• Vet CNC programs and select cutters for legacy tooling.
• Train less skilled machinists and operators.
• Ensure correct fixturing and maintain setups.
