Job summary

Barber-Nichols seeks a CNC Programmer III to independently create and revise CNC programs for lathe, mill, and mill-turn operations, using Siemens NX CAM and BN models. You will lead development, verify through simulations, and support production from development through to release, mentoring machinists, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CNC programming cert preferred; years of experience may substitute.
• 10+ years in programming for lathes, mills, and mill-turn in precision env.
• Experience with Siemens NX CAM and GD&T is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for lathe, mill, and mill-turn with detailed setup instructions.
• Verify programs via process simulation to ensure repeatability.
• Lead production readiness reviews and ensure tooling, fixtures, and docs are ready for production.
• Mentor machinists and other programmers; drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and procurement on tooling and process changes.
