Job summary

Holtec is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for complex, high-precision components in a heavy manufacturing environment. You will translate engineering designs into efficient machine code, support tool selection and fixture design, and ensure quality and on-time production.

The role requires hands-on CNC machining experience, proficiency with Mastercam and GibbsCAM, and strong GD&T/blueprint reading skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam and/or GibbsCAM for milling and turning.
• Hands-on CNC machining experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Strong knowledge of heavy machining processes and multi-axis operations.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM and nesting software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and specifications to determine machining methods and programming requirements.
• Develop, modify, validate, and optimize CNC programs for milling and turning.
• Create efficient toolpaths and select cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to support setup, tooling, and validation.
• Revise and release updated programs in response to changes and improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to CNC operators and monitor program performance.
