Job summary

MacLean Power Systems seeks a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to develop, edit, and optimize tool paths for Haas VF-3 milling centers and VF-2 drilling machines in a manufacturing setting. You will set up machines, verify programs, and ensure parts meet specs.

The role requires over 5 years of hands-on experience with Haas or similar CNC equipment, strong G-code skills, and the ability to train teammates while upholding 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of hands-on CNC programming and setup experience on Haas or similar vertical machining centers.
• Experience writing/optimizing G-code for VF-3 milling and VF-2 drilling operations.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and 5S standards.
• Ability to lead, coach and train others.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC tool paths for Haas VF-3 milling centers.
• Write and optimize production drilling programs (G-code) for VF-2 drilling machines.
• Set up and operate VF-3 and VF-2 CNC machines, including tooling, offsets, and workholding.
• Check that items produced pass quality control requirements.
• Verify new and edited programs via graphics/dry-run and first-article inspection.
• Perform complex troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments or repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Use gaging instruments to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
• Collaborate with team members to increase throughput; mentor others.
• Adhere to 5S, safety, environmental and quality policies.
