Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum twelve years of machine tool setup and operation experience.
• Two-year degree or certification in machining or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine manufacturing approach from drawings/work orders and generate CAM G-Code if needed.
• Set up machines to produce quality parts and fixtures.
• Read and follow drawings including GD&T to properly set up equipment.
• Troubleshoot speeds, feeds, fixturing, part damage, and tool wear; assist with basic programming as needed.
• Collaborate with senior machinists and inspectors on quality and first article checks.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the work area; maintain calibration of inspection gauges.
