Job summary

Dynatect Manufacturing's Traverse City facility is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer for 1st shift (6am - 2:30 pm). The role writes, edits, and optimizes programs for mills, lathes, and multi‑axis machines, interpreting drawings and GD&T to maximize quality and efficiency.

Candidates should have 5+ years of CNC experience, with preference for Mori Seiki 5‑axis and Doosan 3/5‑axis centers, and proficiency in Fusion 360 or ESPRIT.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of CNC manufacturing and programming experience.
• Experience programming and operating Mori Seiki 5‑axis centers preferred.
• Experience programming Doosan 3‑axis and 5‑axis centers preferred.
• Proficiency with Fusion 360 or ESPRIT preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Write, revise, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi‑axis machines.
• Translate engineering drawings and 3D models into machining instructions.
• Select tools, speeds, feeds, and sequences for efficiency and quality.
• Set up CNC machines to validate programs and perform test runs.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to resolve issues.
