Job summary

Teamaegis in Utica, Michigan is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with strong 5-axis machining expertise to support programming and manufacturing of precision components. You will create, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs while collaborating with machinists, engineering, and production teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

3+ years of CNC programming experience in manufacturing.
Proficient with 5-axis simultaneous machining.
Strong reading of blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T.
Experience with CAM software selection and optimization.

Responsibilities

Create and edit CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers.
Develop machining strategies, tool paths, and setup documentation for complex components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
Support machinists during machine setup, prove-outs, and production runs.
Troubleshoot machining, programming, and quality issues as they arise.
Optimize existing programs to improve cycle times, quality, and efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on new product launches and process improvements.
Ensure all programs meet quality, safety, and production requirements.
