Job summary

Micro-Tronics, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer (Machinist 5) to develop advanced CNC programs for complex aerospace parts.

You will work with multi-axis milling and turning, optimize cycle times, and ensure first-time-right machining on the shop floor. The role requires 5+ years of CNC programming experience, proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit), and strong knowledge of G-code/M-code.

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC programming experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment
Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit, or similar)
Strong understanding of G-code/M-code and CNC machine operation

Responsibilities

Apply manufacturing knowledge for machining precision parts to produce CNC programs; establish methods for precision machined parts; support CNC setup and runs.
Determine cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
Design work holding/fixturing for milling and EDM jobs.
Modify existing programs for different machines or improved performance.
Produce detail drawings, setup sheets, and MOTs for manufacturing.
Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
Set up and run new product(s) through first article approval.
Collaborate with Machining, EDM, Tooling, Engineering, and Quality departments.
