Job summary

The role collaborates with engineering, production, and quality teams to translate complex designs into reliable, scalable toolpaths. You will set up and run 3- and 5-axis milling, interpret GD&T drawings, select tooling, and drive continuous improvement through lean practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
• Proficient with CAM software: GibbsCAM, Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX, Esprit.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code and CNC operation.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and apply GD&T.
• Knowledge of materials used in glass, metals, composites, plastics.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3- and 5-axis milling.
• Interpret drawings, 3D models, and specifications (GD&T).
• Select tools, speeds/feeds, and work-holding methods.
• Develop setup sheets and tool lists.
• Run simulations and prove-outs to validate toolpaths.
• Improve machining processes to reduce cycle time and scrap.
• Support machinists during setups and first-article approvals.
• Set-up and run prototype and early production processes.
• Collaborate with engineering on design changes for manufacturability.
• Maintain CAD/CAM files, revision control, and standards.
• Contribute to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma initiatives.
