Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer in Decatur, AL. You will join a leading manufacturing team supporting precision-machined components and take ownership of programming, process improvements, and production efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC programming experience, strong CAM software knowledge, and the ability to support tight-tolerance aerospace-grade parts from concept through production. This onsite role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to read complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
Solid GD&T knowledge and experience with CAM software.
Experience with 4-axis/5-axis machining is a plus.
Aerospace manufacturing exposure is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement CNC programs for precision-machined components.
Optimize toolpaths and machining strategies to improve cycle time and efficiency.
Perform machine setup and fixture design for multi-axis machining centers.
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to ensure smooth production operations.
Conduct first article inspections and support tight-tolerance machining operations.
Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret complex blueprints and drawings.
Implement process optimization and cycle time reduction strategies.
