Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial seeks a Senior CNC Programmer for Greenville, SC, on the 2nd shift, to develop, optimize, and support NC programs for large-scale energy components using NX CAM.

You will work with Vericut, Renishaw cycles, and multi-axis milling/turning on 2m+ VTLs/VBMs, leading process improvements and collaborating across engineering and operations to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with graphical-based CAM system CNC programming.
• Strong CNC programming experience using Siemens NX CAM (highly preferred).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and shop math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate, maintain, and optimize CNC programs using NX CAM and other programming platforms.
• Develop machining processes for large-format equipment, including large VTLs, VBMs, 5-axis machines, and multi-axis milling/turning/EDM.
• Establish machining strategies that meet quality, safety, and productivity requirements.
• Verify and validate new CNC programs using Vericut and machine simulation tools before release.
• Implement and maintain on-machine probing strategies using Renishaw cycles for process validation and error prevention.
• Provide daily CNC troubleshooting and programming support to operators and manufacturing teams.
• Train operators during new machine startups, rebuilds, and process improvement initiatives.
