HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Handles multiple CNC program projects. Writes new programs and modifies existing programs to improve processes.
- Creates conforming products using Raw Material, tooling, 3D models, 2D drawings and applicable specs & standards.
- Produces programs and setup sheets to deliver products to customers on time and within budget.
- Setup machines and train machine operators.
- Extensive, successful experience in the troubleshooting of manufacturing operations that include all machining processes.
- Ability to program multi axis mills and lathes, set up, and machine complex parts from start to completion.
- Able to read measuring devices and read blueprints.
- Read engineering drawings and determine applicable procedures to make or modify parts as required.
- Complete required work to drawing specifications while minimizing scrap material.
- Work with management to prioritize shop schedules in order to maintain optimum production efficiencies.
- Coordinate with the Director of Manufacturing on producing tooling, jigs, or fixtures for use in the production department.
- Discuss methods to improve manufacturing procedures or increase production efficiencies with the management team.
- Operate all machinery in accordance with Company safety procedures including the use of personal protection equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on all shop equipment and maintain all safety devices.
- Inform the Director of Manufacturing of major maintenance needs or safety deficiencies as soon as possible.
- Other duties may be assigned by a manager/supervisor in other areas or departments as needed.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 5 years of experience as a fully qualified programmer.
- Quality Assurance experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be eligible to perform work in an ITAR controlled Facility.
- Should be focused on efficiency and mindful of cost on all projects.
- Experience with AS9100.
