Job summary

Dubose National Energy in Clinton, NC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program, set up and operate 4-axis CNC VMCs and turning centers, reading ASME Y14.5 prints and ensuring tight tolerances. The role requires 3–5 years of CNC experience and a strong capability with measuring tools.

Knowledge of SmartCam or BobCam is a plus, and overtime may be required. Don’t miss the chance to contribute to a major supplier to nuclear and military industries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
• Proven ability to program at the machine using G-Code.
• Proven ability to measure parts with metrology equipment.
• Ability to follow directions to achieve shop goals.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ownership.
• Overtime availability when needed.
• Knowledge and experience with SmartCam and/or BobCam.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Working knowledge of ANSI B4.2-78 (Metric limits and fits).
• Wire EDM experience and Die sinker EDM experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, Setup and Operate 4 axis CNC Vertical and Horizontal machining centers utilizing G-Code programming.
• Program, Setup and Operate CNC Turning centers utilizing G-code programming.
• Select proper tooling to machine components per prints.
• Read and understand machining drawings per ASME Y14.5.
• Identify worn tooling and replace or adjust offsets.
• Machine components to customer-supplied prints and tolerances.
• Use calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools to inspect parts.
• Machine components to better than +/- .002 tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop environment.
