Top Prospect Group, now part of HW Staffing Solutions, seeks a Senior CNC Milling Machinist to operate CNC milling machines in a fast-paced, short-run production environment in Shelton, CT. You will read drawings, edit G-code, and ensure high-quality components with minimal supervision.

The role requires 5–10 years’ experience, strong measurement skills, and a focus on safety. This is a 4-month contract-to-hire position with a competitive hourly wage and daytime shifts.

Formación

• 5–10 years of CNC milling machine setup and operation experience.
• Demonstrated experience in short-run production machining.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, and written procedures.
• Proficiency with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
• Ability to read, understand, and edit G-code.
• Solid math skills: shop math, trigonometry, and geometry.
• Proven commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsabilidades

• Setting up and operating CNC milling machines for short-run production.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and process procedures.
• Inspecting parts using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Reading, understanding, and performing minor edits to G-code programs.
• Performing machining operations on two machines within a work cell.
• Applying strong shop math, trigonometry, and geometry skills for setups and offsets.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Following all safety and environmental regulations, and reporting any incidents to the Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
• Working independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy expectations.
