Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions is seeking a skilled CNC Technician in Smithfield, NC to install, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and maintain CNC machinery and related equipment. The role aims to maximize machine reliability, minimize downtime, and support a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot multi-axis CNC lathes, mills, and robotic systems, and interpret schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance in CNC or high-volume manufacturing.
• Able to troubleshoot CNC equipment using electrical schematics and machine diagrams.
• Familiar with CNC controls, PLCs, servo systems, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CNC control faults using schematics, alarms, and data.
• Repair or replace components such as ball screws, spindles, bearings, motors, and sensors.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, calibration, and geometry checks.
• Maintain documentation in CMMS and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and machine relocation as needed.
