Job summary

Halliburton Energy Services in the Houston area is seeking an experienced maintenance machinist to work on 5-axis CNC and related production equipment in Conroe, Texas.

You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance, train lower level mechanics, and help evaluate equipment reliability to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis CNC machines.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on NC/CN equipment.
• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, NC repair, and machine tool rebuilding experience.
• Ability to evaluate machine tool condition and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on CNC and related machine tools.
• Operate production equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
• Train and assist lower level mechanics.
• Support improvements based on maintenance history.

Job Duties

• Hands-on experience with 5-axis CNC
• Diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on numerical control, computerized numerical control, precision, and conventional machine tools, and other production equipment used in the development, manufacture, and testing of products
• Areas of specialization may include: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, NC repair, and machine tool rebuilding, and electrical production equipment
• Diagnoses and performs major repairs to production equipment
• Evaluates machine tool condition and repairs for repeatability and reliability
• Assists in making evaluations and recommendations for improvements on equipment based on maintenance history
• Operates production equipment for troubleshooting purposes
• Trains and assists lower level mechanics
• Skills typically acquired through 5 years of machine tool repair experience
