Job summary

Halliburton is seeking skilled maintenance professionals in Conroe, TX to diagnose, repair and maintain a range of machine tools and production equipment. You will work hands-on with 5-axis CNC machines and participate in preventive maintenance programs.

Qualified candidates have roughly five years of machine tool repair experience and the ability to train junior mechanics while supporting equipment reliability and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Five years of machine tool repair experience or equivalent
• Hands-on 5-axis CNC experience and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain production equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on CNC and other production equipment
• Operate production equipment for troubleshooting purposes
• Trains and assists lower level mechanics
• Evaluate machine tool condition for reliability and repeatability
• Assist in evaluations and recommendations for equipment improvements

Job Duties

• Hands-on experience with 5-axis CNC
• Diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on numerical control, computerized numerical control, precision, and conventional machine tools, and other production equipment used in the development, manufacture, and testing of products
• Areas of specialization may include: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, NC repair, and machine tool rebuilding, and electrical production equipment
• Diagnoses and performs major repairs to production equipment
• Evaluates machine tool condition and repairs for repeatability and reliability
• Assists in making evaluations and recommendations for improvements on equipment based on maintenance history
• Operates production equipment for troubleshooting purposes
• Trains and assists lower level mechanics
• Skills typically acquired through 5 years of machine tool repair experience
