Pankl Aerospace Systems in California is seeking a Senior CNC Maintenance Lead to own daily maintenance and troubleshooting across complex turning and multi-axis machines. You will build a proactive preventive maintenance program and lead a growing maintenance team.

The role requires hands-on CNC maintenance expertise, strong electrical/mechanical diagnostics, experience with SINUMERIK controls, and a track record mentoring technicians.

Competenze

• 7–10 years of hands-on CNC maintenance experience with complex turning and multi-axis machines.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting incl. hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, cooling.
• Experience diagnosing servo drives, axis systems, spindles, tool changers, and machine controls.
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; use diagnostic and precision measuring tools.
• SINUMERIK controls and PLC fault-finding; WFL or mill-turn experience a plus.
• Ability to lead technicians, coordinate contractors, and work with machine manufacturers.
• Technical apprenticeship or equivalent; safety and energy-isolation practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.

Mansioni

• Take ownership of daily CNC maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting.
• Assess machine condition and establish a prioritized maintenance backlog.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Establish work-order records, maintenance history, and spare-parts requirements.
• Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance and report status.
• Collaborate with suppliers (WFL and others) to ensure recommendations are followed.
• Help define staffing, interview candidates, and train the maintenance team.
• Track repeat failures, repair times, and equipment availability.
