Caterpillar Lafayette is seeking a Level 4 CNC Machinist Technician for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Candidates must have multi-axis CNC experience, be able to program with Fanuc, Siemens or similar controllers, and interpret CMM data.

The role includes set-up, quality assurance and potential overtime in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus, the position provides competitive hourly pay plus a 6% shift differential, with comprehensive benefits and a path to career

Qualifications

• Two or more years in manufacturing with multi-axis CNC machining experience.
• Ability to program CNC machines with Fanuc, Siemens or other controllers.
• Strong machining principles; basic SPC and blueprint reading.
• Understanding of geometric tolerances and CMM reports; lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC and NC machines, transport material and audit processes.
• Interpret CNC programs, Gageit data and CMM reports; ensure quality and precision.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling and program issues; collaborate with team.
• Maintain time management and support overtime as needed.
• Work as part of a team to meet production goals.
