Job summary

Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation in Indiana is seeking CNC Machine Operators to run lathes, grinders, mills, and presses. Training occurs on 1st shift for up to 2 months before moving to a hired shift across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1+ years of machine operation; ability to use measuring tools and read blueprints; lifting up to 35 pounds. Relocation is not offered, visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of recent machine operation experience.
• Able to measure accurately using various measuring tools and perform basic shop math and blueprint reading.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for CNC machinery, demonstrating proficiency in fixtures, tooling, controls and conducting ongoing equipment maintenance and care
• Sets up and operates heavy duty power press to bend and form metal plates and related parts
• Conduct minimal deburring and surface protection on workpieces
• Take detailed measurements and evaluations to ensure workpiece acceptability
• Perform changes and minor adjustments of tooling and attachments; troubleshoot machining issues
• Maintain documentation relating to production, downtime, quality and other metrics
• Assist in fixture setup
• Consistently meet minimum production output and quality standards
• Housekeeping for machine and storage areas; follow safety policies
