Job summary

Narda-MITEQ in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a CNC Machinist/ Class A to program, set up, and operate vertical mill CNC machines. You will read blueprints, GD&T, and select tools while inspecting parts to tight tolerances. The role emphasizes quality with minimal supervision.

The position requires experience or a related degree, strong tooling knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior machinists. A security-clearance readiness and a safety-focused work culture are noted.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience.
• 6+ years of CNC milling experience or 2 years post-secondary with 2+ years related experience.
• Experience setting up, light programming, and operating CNC Vertical mills.
• Proficiency with Haas, Mitsubishi, Milltronics controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and program Vertical mill CNC machines.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures.
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Diagnose dimensional discrepancies and machine malfunctions.
• Mentor and train junior operators/machinists.
