Job summary

MS Directional is seeking a Sr. Machinist to oversee CNC lathe operations and ensure precise dimensions of mud motor parts. The role includes QA/QC, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior machinists in a fast-paced shop environment.

The position requires strong measuring skills, blueprint knowledge, and the ability to work independently with safety as a priority. On-call and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 5+ years running a CNC lathe.
• Experience reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to troubleshoot machining operations and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection of machined parts and QA/QC procedures.
• Repair equipment in the machine shop and perform preventive maintenance.
• Lead by example and mentor junior machinists.
• Operate forklift to move equipment and load workpieces.
• Ensure shop cleanliness and safety with PPE at all times.
