Job summary

MicroPort is seeking a Sr. Machinist to manufacture medical devices from setup to operation using CNC and manual machines. The role involves working with mills, lathes, grinders, and multi-axis CNCs to produce high-quality parts in metal, plastic, or other materials.

The position requires strong measurement skills, blueprint literacy, and a commitment to quality. The shift is first, 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist or 3 years of experience with CNC machinist plus CNC Technical School completion.
• Proficient with manual machines such as mills, lathes, grinders.
• Ability to operate CNC/Manual machines and multi-axis CNCs across multiple work centers.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple CNC/Manual machines such as mills and lathes.
• Manufacture medical devices that conform to specifications and QA requirements.
• Attain production quotas and labor standards.
• Complete device history records accurately.
• Enter production data into MicroPort business systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and area cleaning.
• Set-up and operate multiple CNC/Manual machines across centers.
• Train other machinists in core duties and lead 6S projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop and improve processes.
