MicroPort Orthopedics, Inc. in Arlington, TN, is seeking a Sr. Machinist to operate CNC and manual machines, from setup through production, to manufacture medical devices using mills, lathes and grinders.
You will use inspection tools and metrology to ensure devices meet specifications and QA requirements. The role requires strong blueprint reading, metrology skills, and the ability to work with Engineering to improve processes and learn new techniques.

As a Sr. Machinist, you will work with tools, fixtures, and machines to manufacture medical devices from setup to operation. A working knowledge of manual machines (i.e., mills, lathes, grinders) and the ability to operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines is utilized to produce large volumes of medical devices made from metals, plastics or other materials.

Sr. Machinists must be able to understand units of measure in both metric and English; must be able to convert between the two. A basic understanding of manufacturing machines, metal deburring, and plastic trimming is required. The ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and other specialty tools used in machining processes is required.
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Technical School Training
Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist or 3 years of experience as a CNC machinist & CNC Technical School Completion
