Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist III to produce precision parts by operating, setting up, and possibly programming CNC mills, wire EDMs, and lathes, following drawings and procedures.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement, requiring strong measurement skills and the ability to train others.

Candidates should have 5+ years in CNC machining and a high school diploma; an associate degree or tooling certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production set ups and change offsets/tooling in machines.
• Perform difficult CNC machining with very close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist Engineering with redesigning fixtures to increase quality and productivity.
• Ensure product quality by following OOQ standards and using measurement equipment.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping standards.
