Job summary

TECOMET in Auburndale, MA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to produce precision parts by operating, setting up CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes according to drawings and process instructions.

You will read blueprints, evaluate tolerances, troubleshoot CNC programs, and help improve fixtures and tooling while maintaining GMP/GDP practices and a strong safety culture. A minimum of 5 years CNC machining experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling.
• Perform difficult CNC machining with close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist engineering with fixtures to improve quality and productivity.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and measuring equipment.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and follow PM schedule.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
