Job summary

Tecomet in New Jersey is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to produce precision parts by operating, setting up, and sometimes programming CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes in line with drawings and process instructions.

You will read blueprints, adjust tooling and offsets, troubleshoot programs, maintain equipment, and uphold GMP/GDP and OOQ standards while contributing to continuous improvement and on-time production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production setups and adjust tooling/offsets.
• Perform difficult CNC work on varied parts and metals with close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist engineering with fixture redesigns and tooling adjustments.
• Ensure quality using OOQ standards and measuring equipment.
• Follow GMP/GDP and safety practices; maintain PM schedules.
• Record activities on the job tracking system.
