Job summary

Eastridge is seeking an experienced Journeyman Machinist / CNC Machinist to join a precision manufacturing team in Clinton, MA.

You will operate a variety of CNC and manual machine tools, program CNC equipment, read complex blueprints, and produce high-quality components to tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience and work independently while supporting tooling and inspections.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional machining experience; journeyman-level experience strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with both CNC and manual machining equipment.
• Hands-on experience with mills, lathes, drill presses, and CNC equipment.
• CNC programming and machine setup experience required.
• Experience with EDM equipment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools.
• Program CNC equipment to support production, including lights-out machining.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, production diagrams, engineering drawings, and 3D designs.
• Machine and fabricate precision components according to engineering specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Verify finished components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Work independently or with Lead Machinists and Toolmakers to complete jobs on schedule.
• Support the repair and restoration of damaged steel tooling components to original specifications.
• Apply knowledge of tooling fitment and precision tolerances during repairs and modifications.
• Safely operate PIT/forklift equipment, cranes, hoists, and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized machining environment.
• Perform additional machining and production duties as assigned.
