Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a hands-on CNC Prototyping Engineer to program, set up, and machine complex aerospace prototypes on multi-axis mills and mill-turn equipment. You will develop CAM strategies, optimize toolpaths, and collaborate with Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Design teams to translate designs into producible prototypes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of CNC machine shop experience on multi-axis mills and mill-turn equipment.
• Expert knowledge of CAM systems such as HyperMILL or ESPRIT.
• 2+ years leading continuous improvement initiatives with ownership to conclusion.
• Ability to move lab equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Capability to visually inspect precision components.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and machine complex aerospace prototypes on multi-axis equipment.
• Develop machining strategies with CAM to optimize tools and sequences.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability feedback.
• Prioritize prototyping requests and manage machine time.
