Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to operate and set up CNC mills, wire EDMs, and lathes. You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, and ensure precision within strict tolerances while maintaining safety and GMP standards.

You may perform some programming and will work to continuous improvement and productivity targets, training new machinists and documenting processes as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).
• Ability to operate, set up, and maintain a CNC Machine.
• Ability to run multiple CNC Machines.
• Ability to program with some level of supervision.
• Solid math skills and measuring and keeping count records.
• Read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions.
• Proven record of quality, on-time production runs.
• Commitment to safety.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repeatable tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production set ups and change offsets/tooling.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work with close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work Instructions.
• Assist Engineering with fixtures redesign and tooling adjustments.
• Ensure product quality using OOQ standards and measurement tools.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for machining.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily checklists and PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
