Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, and manual equipment. You will work from engineering drawings to produce precise components for millwright, agricultural, and fabrication projects.

The role requires reading CAD drawings and maintaining tolerances, with attention to housekeeping and safety while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of machining experience with CNC and/or manual equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings accurately.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
  • Proficient in using calipers and micrometers for inspection.
  • Strong problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and manual machines to manufacture components.
  • Produce precise parts for various industrial applications.
  • Read engineering drawings and tolerances to plan machining.
  • Machine to tolerances including ±0.005 inch as required.
  • Determine setups, tooling, speeds, feeds, and sequences.
  • Set tooling, offsets, and machine parameters to meet specs.
  • Inspect with calipers, micrometers, and gauges; perform first-piece checks.
  • Troubleshoot machining and setup issues; adjust as needed.
  • Collaborate with fabrication teams to build or repair parts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
